When selecting dates for our Annual Assembly, we do our best to respect religious holidays. To assist our members attending the Assembly, the Academy offers an Interfaith Gathering Room that may be used for religious practices.
In 2016, the Assembly falls during the Jewish Holiday Sukkot. We have provided information for our members who wish to attend the Annual Assembly and also observe the holiday. Below we have information on a local synagogue and hotel located around the corner. The Academy’s host hotel, The Hilton New Orleans Riverside, is located approximately 1.4 miles from the synagogue.
AAPM&R offers free wireless Internet access at the 2016 Annual Assembly! Complimentary wireless Internet is available at the Ernest N. Morial Convention Center for laptop and smartphone users, and will be accessible in all Annual Assembly common areas, session rooms, and lobby spaces.

The Academy provides vouchers to each attendee with their badge materials that can be used to offset the price of lunch on Friday, October 21 and/or Saturday, October 22. Food and beverage options may be purchased at cash-and-carry stations throughout the PM&R Pavilion on Friday and Saturday.
The beautiful Fall weather in New Orleans is ideal for exercising outdoors. There are several running paths that take you off the busy sidewalks of downtown and onto comfortable trails. An Internet search for “jogging paths in New Orleans” will provide you with a variety of different routes through many areas of the city and its surrounding neighborhoods.
